It was after the passing of his late father, Chief Egbe Woghiren (the Agbonmoba of Benin Kingdom), whom he loved so much, to diabetes mellitus, that Osazee decided to devote more of his time towards eliminating or reducing the prevalence of the disease amongst Nigerians through educational awareness and life style changes, especially targeting the under privileged.

Osazee Woghiren has donated several glucose meters for adequate glucose monitoring and treatment of the disease to several institutions across Nigeria including the University of Benin Teaching Hospital. He founded Stride Outreach World. He funded the drilling of a bore hole to supply clean, fresh water for Ugbokun village and he built and oversees the village in Ugbokun Medical Clinic in Ugbokun, Nigeria.

Mrs. Veronica Woghiren, Osazee’s mother, is also a great source of inspiration for him to help others due to her love of charity. She introduced him to the plight of her people at a very early age.

With strong faith in God, he believes that ‘life is worthless, if it has no positive impact on the life of others or the community’.

The song “Here I am Lord” captures his faith and purpose in his years of work and sacrifice to others:

‘I, the lord of sea and sky
I have heard my people cry
All who dwell in dark and sin
My hand will save
I have made the stars of night
I will make their darkness bright
Who will bear my light to them?
Whom shall I send?

Here I am lord
Is it I lord?
I have heard you calling in the night
I will go lord
If you lead me
I will hold your people in my heart’.
